Guardium System Admin - Database Monitoring

Responsibilities:

Provide technical admin support for IBM Guardium database monitoring tool

Perform agent installations and product upgrades

Work with vendor on problem resolution

Using Guardium tool - create reports for customers

Provide system information to clients and auditors

Participate in Disaster Recovery Tests

Requirements:

2 years experience with the Guardium system version 8 or 9

Knowledge of Windows and UNIX,--mainframe a plus.

Knowledge of databases: MS SQL, Oracle, Sybase & DB2

Knowledge of SQL DB language

Programming skills and scripting experience

Knowledge of networking, TCP, FTP, SCP and firewalls

Knowledge of IT security principles, SOX and PCI regulations

Business Analysis skills

Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements

Excellent communication skills

Need to perform weekend installations and configurations

Need to provide on-call 24x7x365 support as needed.

Experience with other database monitoring or system monitoring tools a plus

Security certification a plus such as CISSP or CISM

Degree in Computer Science, Programming, or IT required

The security analyst will be tasked with ensuring that service level agreements are met.

Perform security audits, scan and monitor servers.

Investigate and report on security alerts and perform security incident reporting.

Setup and review security audit logs.

Implement improvements through process optimization and automation.

Plan and implement any new security related project tools and or Customer processes to enhance the overall security infrastructure.

Should be willing and able to work 7 x 24 shifts including all public holidays.
