Job Title: WAN / LAN Administrator (090413-MAGBAL-IO32-E-RAJ)

Location: Independence, OH

Duration: 3+ Month Contract


Employment Type: 1099/ W2


Job Description:

Responsible for the design, settings, configuration and maintenance of the LAN/WAN and related hardware/software. Provides troubleshoots pertaining to LAN/WAN to meet end-users needs. Takes initiative for the network security and systems upgrades. Requires 4+ years of experience in the networking field. Will be part of a Network Team, reporting to the Network Manager. Up to 25% travel. Work closely with server, desktop and software development teams to optimize systems. Works with team to handle 60+ sites on an MPLS network, standardizing and monitoring. Troubleshoot malfunctioning network hardware and software applications.


Primary Skills:

- 4+ years of experience in networking field

- Current CCNP minimum

- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, MPLS, VPN protocols and concepts

- Excellent documentation skills

- Ability to work in a team environment, but can self-direct where necessary

- Must be willing to respond to IT related outages on a 24/7 basis

- Experience with Cisco networking equipment along with third party network analyzers and management tools.

- Experience dealing with tier one vendors, such as AT&T and Verizon


Secondary Skills:

- Microsoft Active Directory, SQL, Windows Server And Terminal Servers

- Voice networking experience

- Cisco UCS

- Cisco Unified Communications

- PCI, HIPPA and SOX regulations
