Job Description:


THIS IS NOT AN ADMINISTRATION POSITION. WE ARE SEEKING CISCO ENGINEERS WITH DESIGN EXPERIENCE.


Candidate with hands-on engineering experience in the following areas will be preferred:

- Cisco Nexus and Catalyst architectural design experience with a large enterprise Data Center environment

- Cisco Unified Wireless Network Architecture


Highly Desired Qualifications:

Candidate who has one or more advanced certification(s) as listed below will be preferred:

- Cisco advanced certification(s), such as Cisco CCIE, CCNP, and/or CCDP in Routing & Switching, Data Center, and/or Voice


Standard Job Description:

The Principal Systems/Network Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing network architecture and infrastructure, respectively, to meet the demand and requirements in the enterprise environment, including:


- Design, installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintaining of Cisco LAN and WAN components (Catalyst switches, routers, CSS Load Balancer, etc.)

- Implementation and support of the enterprise-class wireless solution, such as Cisco Unified Wireless Network

- Implementation and support of a multi-site environment and Data Centers

- Engagement in the configuration of network equipment and applications

- Providing final level of escalation for network related issues

- Work outside immediate discipline to coordinate a group of people in troubleshooting a wide-scale problem; serve as point-of-contact across several areas or disciplines to solve major network outages with high impact or visibility.

- Providing 24x7 tier-3 support to both Network Operations and Security Operations personnel in troubleshooting and resolving network security matters relative to potential compromises.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in combination of education, experience, and certification

- Between seven and nine years of hands-on experience in networking technology, host, data and/or application and hardware security platforms (Check Point Firewall-1, Cisco PIX/ASA, and Juniper JUNOS are preferred, but not limited to) in multiple operating system environments

- Experience working with IP networking, networking protocols (e.g. EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, etc.) and understanding of security related technologies including encryption, IPSec, PKI, VPNs, Firewalls, proxy services, DHCP, DNS, and Access Control List (ACL).

- Technical, analytical and interpersonal skills required

- Experience in forensic analysis of networking and security issues

- Ability to manage project timelines, follow methodologies, and create/present clear, concise deliverables

- Capable of complex capacity planning, analysis and engineering design changes

- Working knowledge of IP Telephony systems

- Working knowledge of design concept associated with network security infrastructure, including Cisco ASA, Check Point Firewall, Juniper SSL VPN, and Citrix NetScaler Application Firewalls.

- Proficiency in network management tools to test and troubleshoot the network as needed

- Confidence to recommend actions and/or designs that will impact other units within the company

- Working knowledge of workstation and server environments (Windows, Unix/Linux, Mac OS X) as they interface into the network

- Cisco advanced certification(s), such as Cisco CCIE, CCNP, and/or CCDP in Routing & Switching, Data Center, and/or Voice
