Primary Abilities:
-Netapp FAS systems and ONTAP OS administration
** We will also consider EMC, High end IBM, Equalogic and Hitachi talent **
-Firm understanding of FC storage configurations
-Familiarity with Brocade FC Switching interfaces (Cisco MDS can be substituted for Brocade)
-Understanding IOPs and growth patterns in a SAN environment
-Familiarity of VMware and Microsoft server technology
-Intel-based server technology
Secondary Abilities:
-HP EVA systems
-Understanding iSCSI, FCoE and NFS technologies
-Familiarity of Linux/Unix based technologies
-Cisco UCS
-PowerShell scripting
The primary job of this position is the administrate NetApp & HP EVA disk subsystems as well as Brocade-based switch interfaces. The job involves deep dive monitoring, studying growth patterns and understanding IOPS of the entire SAN environment. Large amounts of time working with Server (VMware, Microsoft, SQL) Engineers to design and maintain the systems environment will be spent. A team player with good communication skills is need. Updating and maintaining the SAN environment (FC Switches, Storage Controllers, etc.). Travel up to 20%.
