Terms of Reference
(Work to be performed) The CITDR is seeking to hire an experienced, hands-on technical Project Manager.
The qualified candidate must be well versed in infrastructure components/technologies, possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work directly with technical leads and engineers to assist them
(and in many cases create project management plans from scratch) with project management related activities
coordinate execution, communicate with all stakeholders.
The candidate must be able to take concise meeting minutes, capturing the essence of the discussion and subsequent action items.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with engineering team to implement the Application Hosting teams portfolio of projects;
Plan, manage, report on, and close Application Hosting teams projects in accordance with industry standard project management processes;
Maintain coordination and communication among stakeholders;
Assist engineering team with creating technical documentation, including architecture, design, test and support plans. Plan and coordinate Technical Reviews with stakeholders.
Create implementation plan documentation and assist engineering staff with their implementation plans;
REQUIREMENTS
At least 5 years of professional experience delivering IT Data Center and Application Infrastructure projects; including planning, development, implementation of systems.
Must be well versed in common data center hardware and software platforms such as family of Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, Access Gateway, Netscaler technologies; and relation of these components to the various stages of the Software Development and application Infrastructure type of projects;
Duration of these projects will vary from 6 weeks to 1 year, candidate must be able to handle 5-7 of such projects at a time;
Demonstrated experience producing and maintaining, schedules and communication and implementation plans for technical projects;
Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and leading adoption of project management principles and methods of executing IT projects in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with industry standard project and portfolio management software such as CA Clarity and MS Project
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
PMP Certification
Experience with process analysis, ability to identify ways to improve the productivity and efficiency of your own work, as well as for others on your project team;
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, internationally diverse work environment; strong interpersonal skills are essential.
DESIRED SKILLS
Project Management Office (PMO) experience;
Certification in ITIL V3 Foundation in Service Management;
Experience with developing, implementing, and leading adoption of ITIL, PMI and COBIT5 best practices in Service, Infrastructure and Application Management;
