POSITION DESCRIPTION:

FRAME (Finance Risk Alignment Management & Execution) is a pioneering effort in the Risk Technology PAG to implement front-to-back mark consistency and mark validation policy.

FRAME interfaces directly with Front-office Trading and Risk systems and integrates with back-office controller P&L systems (Books and Records).

FRAME project spans the entire breadth of business areas within ISG, including Interest Rates Cash & Derivatives, FX, Credit, Structured Products, Commodities, and Equity and Listed Derivatives. As part of the FHC policy there are expansion plants to extend FRAME to other divisions such as Securities Lending and MSSB/GWM/PWM.

The technology platform (FRAMEHub/Citrus) is based on a proprietary MS technology called Core MarketBus, developed to model market data of arbitrary complexity and provide ability to store, version and distribute market data.

The technology stack includes a wide range of proprietary and open source technologies such as web services based on SOA, a distributed cache, rule engine technology, graphical user interfaces built using C#, and a reporting platform supported via Adobe Flex.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to support significant expansion to cover all market data classes, P&L impact calculations based on marking infringements, and expansion to business divisions beyond Institutional Securities Group.

The candidate should be able to understand distributed systems architecture and be passionate about programming in a highly multi-threaded pub/sub environment using Core Java.

This team is part of the Risk Technology Practice Area, which includes risk aggregation / management tools (Risk-1, FLOW, SD), as well as the new risk store and aggregation platform we are developing as part of our strategic risk calculation and aggregation direction (GRAIN).

 

All of these systems will interact with each other, providing extensive learning opportunities spanning all of our risk and market data generation.
