Job Description:
The Senior Software DeveloperDrupal must be proficient in Drupal, PHP, JavaScript, XML, MySQL, AJAX, etc., and will contribute to all phases of the Web development life cycle but will primarily focus on site building, PHP coding, and custom module development for Drupal Web content management system projects.

 

Job responsibilities include designing and implementing web applications, prototypes, and Web sites; Drupal site building; custom Drupal module development in PHP, JavaScript, etc.; close collaboration with the client and other team members working on design, user experience, theming, system administration, etc.; maintaining, upgrading, and debugging existing Drupal installations; and assisting in planning, estimating, and refinement of project requirements.

 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

BS in computer science or similar program.
Minimum 5 years of Drupal project experience (be prepared to provide samples or links to past projects). Proficient in Drupal back-end development, including custom module 
development, key contributed modules and the core API, Fields, Views, etc.
Proficient in PHP within a GNU/Linux, Apache, and MySQL environment, ideally object-oriented PHP. Proficient in MySQL, skilled in the use of tools like PHP, MyAdmin, and MySQL CLI.
Proficient in JavaScript and familiar with AJAX and JQuery.
Proficient in HTML and CSS (HTML 5 and CSS 3 preferred).
Experience with theming Drupal (Zen, Omega, AdaptiveTheme, Views, templates, etc.).
Ability to work as part of a team, understanding problems from other team members perspectives, and go above and beyond the job description to work toward a broader 
team goal.
Ability to work independently, willingness to learn, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Candidate must be self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced work environment to meet deadlines and new challenges.
Ability to communicateboth written and orallyand work well with others. Ability to deliver on time and on budget.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Experience with Drupal distributions (Drupal Commons and Drupal Commerce especially).
Experience building responsive/mobile Web sites.
Involvement in, and contributions to, the Drupal community.
Familiarity with revision control systems like Git.
Experience with performance tuning of high-traffic sites.
