The client has deployed the basic server environment for the Microsoft Business Intelligence technology stack that includes SharePoint 2013, SQL Server 2012, SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), PerformancePoint and Excel Services. In addition, the county has developed basic data marts and business intelligence pilot applications to demonstrate capabilities of Microsoft BI platform. The contractor shall provide improvements to this technology environment to support a large scale implementation of business intelligence throughout the county. However additional systems support and development may be required.

 

The contractor shall:
• Monitor, maintain, enhance and manage business intelligence technology environment.
• Utilize an iterative development methodology for all work done under this contract. The methodology shall allow users to examine the validity and accuracy of the business requirements and to respond to the usability and performance of new developments. User testing and acceptance throughout the development cycle will detect usability issues, missing requirements, and any necessary design changes early in the process, allowing them to be put in place immediately.

Client is hiring a Sr. Project Manager to manage EPA's SDWIS Prime project. SDWIS Prime is intended to replace the legacy Safe Drinking Water Information System (SDWIS) used by state level agencies (SDWIS/State) by the end of 2016. Client collaborated with the EPA Office of Water (OW) to analyze the SDWIS requirements and functionality, helping make the determination and recommendation to develop a new system using the Agile project lifecycle methodology.
