PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Client wants to move the existing SharePoint 2007 farm to either SharePoint 2010 or SharePoint 2013. Client also has a hosted SharePoint 2010 environment; however, this environment is not being used. Client is unsure about which version of SharePoint to target for the upgrade/migration. Client may decide to move to the SharePoint 2010 environment since it is operational or they may decide to upgrade the hosted environment to SharePoint 2013 and then migrate SharePoint 2007 content.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with client to define business & technical requirements/constraints

Assess existing SharePoint 2007 environment including customizations (configuration & code)

Assess existing hosted SharePoint 2010 environment

Determine which version of SharePoint (2010 or 2013) best fits the needs of the client going forward

Design target SharePoint architecture

Prepare upgrade or migration strategy/plan including task list, effort estimates, timeline and required resources

Review upgrade or migration strategy/plan with client

Perform upgrade/migration according to the plan

QUALIFICATIONS

7+ years of experience in analysis, design, and delivery of SharePoint solutions

Demonstrated ability to design logical and conceptual models for SharePoint 2013 architectures

Experience preparing SharePoint upgrade and/or migration strategies and plans

Experience upgrading SharePoint platforms and customizations to SharePoint 2010 & 2013

Note: candidate MUST have experience evaluating customizations (configuration and code)

Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements and processes into effective SharePoint solutions

Self-starter and able to work independently

Strong leadership skills

Able to project a high degree of confidence when working with clients and other stakeholders

Excellent communication skills
