Web Developer III - Ruby on Rails

The ideal candidate will have extensive project management experience with the ability to work independently or with other developers, great communication skills and a passion to keep up with the latest web development technologies while maintaining the ability to adapt to changing requirements.

Experience / Qualifications:

2+ years of strong Ruby on Rails development experience
UNIX skills - understanding of UNIX permissions, directory structure, common UNIX commands and basic scripting, etc
Experience with some form of source control (cvs, svn, git, etc)
Experience setting up an Apache web server using modrails (aka Phusion Passenger)
Strong JavaScript skills, experience with AJAX. jQuery experience is a plus, but the person should at least have used two of the public JavaScript libraries out there enough to be able to compare them (Prototype, Mootools, jQuery, YUI, script.aculo.us, etc).
Understands SQL and is comfortable writing their own queries
Experience setting up a database (MySQL, PostgreSQL) for use with Rails.
Experience with REST web services, understands Rails routing
Solid understanding of HTML with CSS, web standards, JSON, and AJAX programming.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
Five to seven years of web development and applications experience.
