UNIX/SQL DBA needed for Jackson Ville /FL

UNIX/SQL DBA to do monitoring, migrations and troubleshooting.  

Works with ERP team, application database administrators, technology services, and the business areas in defining requirements, coordinating system-wide updates and installing upgrades and patches

Identifies proposed solutions and implements those solutions

Monitors and maintains performance metrics for system features

Able to identify root cause of technical issues and determine corrective action

Able to facilitate sessions with representatives across technology disciplines, development and business functions from staff to manager level

Demonstrates working knowledge of hardware, operating system, network, desktop and security technologies

Demonstrates working knowledge of change management, problem management, quality assurance and application testing

Requirements/Qualifications

Previous Work and Related Experience (including educational requirements):

5 or more years of IT and business work experience

5 or more years experience with Unix and SQL Databases a must

Tuning, Migration, Troubleshooting

2 or more years of experience infrastructure and/or technical application support

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related discipline, or equivalent work experience

Skill Set:

Ability to work independently in a cross functional environment
