The Websphere Process Server (WPS) Lead Developer

Duration : 2 years contract
The Websphere Process Server (WPS) Lead Developer role is critical to successfully complete integration projects especially large projects like iLearn. Because of the complexity of systems deployed in the larger DOE enterprise, each integration project requires dedicated developers to support the integration. Without this specialized expertise, integration projects would take significantly longer because application teams would have to spend additional time developing their connection and transformation components. As more and more ESB projects complete, workflow components developed by Websphere Process Server (WPS) Developers for the ESB will save the DOE significant costs in development effort.
Responsibilities:
The WebSphere Process Server (WPS) lead developer will be part of the implementation team providing expert knowledge and hands on development skills as needed to implement business processes as reusable assets.
1. Provide a defining, senior level contribution to development team responsible for the implementation of critical SOA web-based applications using WebSphere Process Server
2. Collaborate with business stakeholders and team members to define & analyze requirements
3. Developing enterprise wide reusable business processes
4. Understand and guide other development teams around best practices to create web services or any other appropriate integration end-points
5. Prepare technical designs, perform code reviews, debugging and testing
6. Define integration approaches to extend existing systems to work with an ESB
7. Work in a collaborative development environment, providing assistance & technical guidance to fellow team members
8. Accountability for the technical components of the design and successful operation of the ESB solution within DOE
9. Document standards and procedures for the definition of reference architectures
10. Provide inputs in architecting, designing, and implementing a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
11. Responsible for the delivery of architecture artifacts that will demonstrate the projects adherence to strategy, design patterns, and best practices
12. Provide detailed guidance and direction for design and implementation of development frameworks and design patterns for consumption across multiple development teams
13. Create, communicate and improve the governing principles, standards and models
Qualification Requirements:
1. Five or more years of hands on experience implementing Business Process Orchestrations
2. At least 3 years of experience using IBM WebSphere Process Server
3. Well-versed in BPM terminology and processes; ability to leverage BPM tools to full capacity, specifically BPM process manager suite and Enterprise Service Bus
4. Hands-on experience building, deploying and/or supporting distributed applications built with SOA technologies (on WebSphere, JMS, EAI, MQ, EJB, JSP, JDBC, SQL, Ant)
5. IBM BPM or Process Server Certificate a plus
6. Hands on experience with at least one database platform (ex. Oracle, DB2, Sybase)
7. OO design skills
8. Knowledge of WebSphere Services Registry and Repository (WSRR), ITCAM for SOA, PKI, WS-Security, SAML and various web services standards are a plus
