SAN engineer opportunities< Multiple positions> Location. Minneapolis
Client in downtown Minneapolis to fill several SAN engineer opportunities.
These are multi-year contract opportunities, with the possibility for contract-to-hire.
These positions will require a minimum of 5 years of NetApp and SAN/NAS practical storage experience.
To be successful in this role you must be proficient in both UNIX and Windows operating systems.
These positions will all have some element of business travel.
You must be available for production support 24X7.

Duties and Responsibilities
Seasoned Professional in all NetApp and disk storage architecture and features
Skilled in troubleshooting and tuning NetApp systems for performance
Knowledgeable in the NetApp Product Line and offerings, Hardware and Enterprise Storage solutions
Relational database architecture and I/O performance response requirements knowledge for enterprise level systems are a big plus
Able to perform complex upgrades and installation of NetApp DOT software patches
Demonstrate Technical Strategy, good Communication skills, Technology depth, and Technical Process and Organizational dynamics
Ability to communicate up (to business owners and peers), down (to technologists), and across (to other architects and Technical Leads, clients and vendors)
Keep abreast of the latest NetApp technological advancements and demonstrate the ability to take a vendor-neutral approach to architecture
Review and Promote technical standards, rules and procedures and recommend improvement
Provide predictability to IT and repeatable success to IT projects by using frameworks, methodologies, patterns, and best practices. Create detailed hardware recommendation plans
