Job Description:
.Net/Sharepoint Developer Local to Houston with Excellent communication skills.

 

The selected individual will join the Calpine IT Business Solutions Group to provide development and support for Calpines SharePoint environment. The SharePoint Developer will participate in current state assessment; evaluate improvement opportunities and assists in formulating future state approach related to SharePoint implementation.

He/she will design, develop, and implements web applications in a SharePoint environment for a wide variety of business needs for Calpine Power Operations. Additional work will include performing research, recommend and implement add-on complimentary development packages/tools as necessary to satisfy business requirements. Work will be split between on-going Production support and project based work.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develops SharePoint applications, including user interface, workflow, webparts, and back-end processing solutions
Provides application development activities, including design, development, and testing activities
Provide production technical support for investigation and resolution of Remedy help desk tickets related to the support of SharePoint and its related applications
Manage user accounts and understand security profile & groups
Create Change Control and Change Management forms as defined by the Change Control Board to perform code migrations Interact with business users to understand business s processes/requirements and provide guidance on the use of SharePoint functionality for business process automation or data interaction

 

Job Requirements:
BA/BS degree with an analytical discipline with 5+ years of directly related experience.
Experience with SharePoint 2010; experience with SharePoint 2013 is a plus
Experience with XML, ASP,.Net , XSLT ,VB.Net, C#,Powershell, CSS and Java Script
Experience with SharePoint Object Model and SharePoint Designer experience
Experience with Visual Studio, Active Directory and working knowledge of SQL Server 2005/2008.
Knowledge of system development lifecycles including Agile methodology; development cycles are short (often 4 - 12  weeks or less).
