Job Description:
- Advanced educational background in a quantitative field (e.g., Masters or PhD in statistics, operational research, engineering, computer science)
- More than three-years experiences in hands-on predictive modeling, using both structured and unstructured data.
Familiar with most (expert and fluency in some) modeling techniques in Regression, Classification, Clustering, Time-series and Statistical Analysis
- Experience in insurance modeling a plus;
- Fluency in machine learning techniques;
- Fluency in statistics;
- Very good programming skills in one or more computing platforms (R, SAS, Python, Mathematica, Matlab, Octave, C++, Java). Fluency in Python a plus;
- Proven data manipulation skills (SQL applied to Oracle and DB2 databases, scripting languages, Big Data related technologies)
- Fluency in either SAS or R;
- Strong ability to formulate business problems mathematically and strong problem solving skills;
- Superior oral and written communication skills, especially the ability to communicate technical issues to a non-tech audience;
- Bonus points for knowledge in graphical modeling or social network analyses;
- Critical thinking and intellectual curiosity
- Superior learning abilities
- The drive to deliver on commitments and an openness to new ideas
- Enjoy working in a team-based environment
