Job Title: Production Support Specialist (11714-LYLDRO-IOM-O-RAJ)

Duration: 18 months contract

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
Support and monitor operations of a network or an environment of servers on which a cluster of specific applications operate. Track and research operational incidents and technical solutions for development and production operations.
Troubleshoot operational incidents and determine resolution and perform work arounds as needed.
Maintain or perform system upgrades, including installing product releases, up to date patches, and service packs.
Serve on or help lead projects involving team resources as a key technical resource.
May control or manage system access; train and support users (fellow team members).
Support system users, responding with limits of the 24/7 systems service level agreement. This includes device, configuration, and monitoring requests from users.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
At least 4 years experience on development and production operation support for applications and technology infrastructure in a 24/7 production environment.
At least 2 years of experience in in-memory-data-grid or data caching or similar technology; i.e. Pivotal Gemfire , Hadoop, or application server technology
Performance tuning experience for data intensive applications
Experience in Java and/or relational databases is preferred.
Experience using Remedy, iCart, Autosys, ClearQuest, ServiceNow is desired.
Experience in scripting and/or development are desired
Experience working with cross functional application and infrastructure teams like Unix/Linux, VmWare, WAN/LAN network, IMDG or RDBMS database are preferred
ITIL certified is a plus or ability to work with industry standard incident, change, and problem management in a controlled environment
Ability to work independently and having a eagerness to learn and adapt to changing business needs of the company training.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
1) Experience and skill on one or more of the following: Weblogic/ Websphere/Oracle Fusion/Messaging platform
2) Operational and/or system admin with knowledge and experience on shell scripting and understanding of JAVA /SQL DB in a unix/Linux environment.
3) Knowledge, experience or skill on one or more of the following: GemFire/Hadoop/Mongo/Elastic Cache software products.
Developer/administrator who has substantial experience (4+ years) in a system admin role. Involvement in a support model like DevOps and 24/7 on-call pager (pager rotates among team members). Need to have the ability to handle production support in a command center type environment and ability to work under established process and guidelines.
