Job Description:

A leader in business analytics software for data visualization and data mining analytics is searching for a Linux/Unix Systems Engineer to aid in the completion of project. This will we a 6 month contract during which you will assist a Major Utility Company who needs to replace all their servers coming off warranty.

Technical Requirements:

Red Hat Enterprise Linux Cluster and Global File System (GFS/GFS2) Deployment

Log Collection, HP ArcSight experience

Unix virtual machine for windows experience.

VM ware experience

Support of Disk Dropping on Linux Servers

Troubleshooting & Configuration changes on the Linux servers

HP-UX Experience

3rd Party vendor products: Autosys, Middleware

Education and Experience Required:

5+ years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study; relevant professional experience in enterprise environment required

Professional Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Has sufficient depth and breadth of technical knowledge to be individually responsible for the design and scope of deliverables within a field of expertise.

Has ability to perform/drive resolution of problems on combinations and interactions of products. Ability to apply technology and consulting to solve a client business problem.

Able to communicate and present complex issues with assurance and confidence.

Able to advise the engagement owner about the risks associated with this work package.

Ability to work with a team to provide solutions to issues in the server environment

Must have 5-7+ years of UNIX system administration experience in a production environment supporting ITIL functions
