II. WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
Years Skills/Experience
8 Experience in conducting IT security analysis on enterprise level network infrastructure including tasks like network penetration tests, vulnerability profiling and wireless warwalking to survey for security weaknesses and device misconfigurations.
8 Strong analytical and complex problem solving skills with experience as a systems analyst for projects geared toward network operations and IT information security
8 Experience drafting project plans, audit report responses, and policies and procedures in the context of organizational workflows/processes, use cases and published requirements
8 Experience with IT information Security technologies:
Infrastructure design (i.e. configuration, use cases, workflows)
Total cost of ownership analysis
Implementation (i.e. hardware, software, configuration, user training)
Documentation of designs, triage procedures for multi-tiered support organizations and total cost of ownership analysis/forecasting
8 Experience working with IT infrastructure components including proxy servers, edge routers, firewalls, and IDS / IPS. Skill in configuring, deploying and monitoring security infrastructure devices
5 Must have excellent skills in requirements analysis, data assessment, documenting results and presenting to different levels of stakeholders.
Demonstrated Experience Demonstrates clear, concise, effective verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated Experience Using the full range of Office Suite applications to create required documents in a word processor, spreadsheet, database or presentation application(s).
Verifiable
Experience Verifiable IT security related work experience
Preferred:

Provide copy of certificate GSEC, CISSP, PMP, CISM certifications
Specific tasks:
Evaluates project plans for compliance with architecture, standards, policies and guidelines.
Consults with the business, managers and technical support staff to ensure that networking systems, server platforms, and user platforms conform to and support the agencys IT Enterprise Architecture and strategic plan as well as the TxDOTs Enterprise Architecture plan.
Consults and works with the business and IT to ensure compliance with information technology architectures, standards, policies and methodologies.
Defines architecture driven transition planning with heavy use of enterprise architecture artifacts.
Assists in the development and support many complex programs such as ERP deployment.
Provides enterprise architecture consulting and supports multiple projects.
Develops processes, policies, standards, procedures and associated roles and responsibilities.
Identifies business requirements that affect the enterprise architecture and provide solutions that integrate into the overall architectural vision and strategy.
Supports business case development and identifies funding requirements.
Assists TxDOT in determining how to leverage existing IT investments and accomplish more within the agency. Assist in determining how to make future IT investments increase efficiencies or effectiveness across TxDOT
Other tasks as assigned.
Candidate must exhibit strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, and work well in a team.
II. WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

5 Experience developing or directly supporting an enterprise architecture program
5 Experience preparing and documenting enterprise architecture artifacts
5 Experience supporting highly complex enterprise IT projects as an enterprise architect
5 Ability to communicate and transfer knowledge to business and technical personnel
5 Experience working effectively in a project team environment
STRONG Very strong written and oral communication skills
DEGREE Bachelors degree

Experience initiating an enterprise architecture program, including the design and maintenance of an enterprise architecture repository and meta-model
