App. Dev. Specialist SharePoint Developer 1Year Project in Irvine, CA.

The App. Dev. Specialist SharePoint Developer would be responsible for the following:

o SharePoint 2010 Development and .NET Development
o SharePoint 2010 PowerShell Development
o Visual Studio 2010 Development with Source Control
o InfoPath 2010
o SharePoint / ASP.NET web configuration and deployment.
o SharePoint Shared Services including FAST Search or Enterprise Search, Managed Metadata.
o JQuery & JavaScript in the ASP.NET and SharePoint environment

Are you interested? The ideal App. Dev. Specialist SharePoint Developer will possess the following:

o Ability to successfully collaborate with business users, colleagues and strategic partners to process user requirements, assess technology options and recommend solutions.
o Proficiency at writing web parts, assemblies and other SharePoint objects that leverage the SharePoint site resources and Shared Services like FAST Search and Managed Metadata.
o Knowledge of SharePoint design patterns, Change Management and software engineering.
o Will mentor existing development team and help them move from Lotus Notes development to SharePoint development.
o Conducts and prepares feasibility studies for new applications or revisions to existing systems.
o Creates build schedules, manages source code, coordinates development environment configuration and plans for release and deployment to ensure optimal development or support efforts.
o Prepares and presents project proposals to management and colleagues.
o Reviews current status of systems applications and prepares recommendations for system improvements.
o Monitors design processes and prepare reports on systems projects.
o Actively participates in various forums related to process improvement and best practices.
o Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations to enhance development practices and processes of the team.
o Closely collaborates with team members and mentors less experienced developers.
o Displays proficiency in debugging techniques and technical problem analysis.
o Demonstrates strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.

Other desired skills:
o Experience with WCF, SOA, XML, IIS, SQL, StSDev, StSAdm and the .NET framework
o Experience with structured design, development, and implementation of new technical architectures.
o Competency to work at the highest technical level of all phases of application programming activities.
