The Mobile Operations Administrator's role is to ensure the stable operation of the entire Mobile Operations environment which includes Blackberry (BES/BAS) and Good Technologies.
This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing Mobile infrastructure integrated with Lotus Domino.
Responsibilities / Requirements
+4 years of strong experience with Mobile Device Management (BlackBerry/GOOD/MobileIron/AirWatch) at server level, preferably in a medium to large company with at least 5,000+ users.
Plan, create and deploy security and device management policies to adhere to enterprise IT security policies.
Work on messaging projects, software upgrades, architecture changes and implementation of new components within the environment.
Installing, managing, & optimizing Mobile servers and underlying messaging infrastructure.
Troubleshooting Server issues, working in collaboration with other relevant IT areas and vendor support towards a quick and effective resolution.
Performing daily monitoring of Mobility systems
Create and maintain daily/weekly/monthly operational checklists and operational reports
Create and implement task automation and monitoring tools
Provide end user support including VIPs.
Experience with Domino, Lotus Notes and Traveler highly desirable to have understanding integration and of email/calendar flow.
Skills:
Extensive experience in Mobile Device Management systems including but not limited to Blackberry, Good Technologies, Airwatch or other comparable MDM/MAM/MCM. Additionally, experience in the following is relevant and desirable: Notes Application Infrastructure, Notes email, Cisco IronPort, SameTime, WebMail, Domino Directory, and LDAP.
Additional Skills:
Fundamental understanding of network and Internet concepts (e.g., firewalls, load balancers, web browsers, TCP/IP, SSL, HTTP, etc.)
Effective analytical, planning, organizational, problem determination and resolution process skills.
Server configuration, tuning, capacity planning, performance, and monitoring
Disaster Recovery techniques for enterprise email and mobile services
Troubleshooting, log analysis and error resolution
Follow, create and update documentation of all technologies and procedures
Able to handle Level 2/3 problems and ability to effectively interface with vendor support
Effective teamwork and excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, in a diverse environment
