Position Title: Microsoft SharePoint Developer (Ref code: 060513-IOR-MARK-JOH)

Location: Woodlawn, MD

Duration: LONG TERM CONTRACT

Responsibilities

Plans, manages, and executes all phases of SharePoint/Project Server software development life cycle for development tasks, with emphasis on design, development, documentation, implementation and maintenance.

Provides technical direction for performing software development tasks and reviewing work products for correctness and adherence to design standards (e.g., user requirements, proof of concepts, information taxonomy, etc.)

Ensure accurate translation of technical specification into program specifications; identifying user requirements, proof of concepts, metrics reporting and custom components.

Provides technical assistance to less experienced personnel in the resolution of systems-related problems.

Works with the customer and the internal stakeholders to help define business inefficiencies. Proposing innovative solutions for enhancing business processes.

Coordinates deployment and manage projects related to deploying new features and improving the quality of services of custom in-house and Microsoft SharePoint-based technical solutions.

Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.

Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.

Evaluates interfaces between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system.

Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections.

Requirements

Expert in SharePoint 2010 and/or Project Server 2010.

Experience in development, administration, architecture, configuration and support of large scale Microsoft SharePoint 2007/2010 and Project Server 2010 implementations.

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008.

Experience with SharePoint Designer and Visual Studio.

Experience developing custom web parts and workflows.

Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, sound problem resolution and decision making capabilities

Must be highly motivated, and be prepared to rapidly adapt to changes in client requirements and priorities.
