Description:
*Analyze complex business problems and determine proper resolution path
*Assist in the design, delivery, and improvement of COTS software applications
*Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements
*Serve as liaison between business organizations, COTS vendors and IT groups (production support, development, test, release management etc.) providing application expertise to resolve production issues and support maintenance releases and projects
*Assess available technologies and recommend solutions to team
*May play a key role in the training of business users and technical support personnel
*Work under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment

Key Responsibilities:
Work with business users to gather process, functional, and data requirements
Develop detailed requirements documentation including business process models, business requirements, use cases, wire frames and systems requirements
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of business processes within assigned areas
Work with vendor of COTS products to review requirements and design specifications and clearly communicate solutions and options with the business
Perform database queries and analyze large data sets in support of requirements development
Develop and validate requirements for data conversion and migration
Assist Product Managers in prioritizing issues/enhancements
Assist Product Managers in developing assessments with high level requirements and levels of effort
Participate in the technical design process to ensure that business requirements are being satisfied
Engage in peer reviews to ensure completeness and sufficient detail of business and system requirements
Plan and facilitate User Acceptance Testing including duties such as test case creation, environment and user ID set-up, data set-up, tracking and resolution of issues
Execution of all SDLC milestone/sign-offs and SOX evidence
Assist in implementation shakeout and post-implementation support
Facilitate updates to application support plans for production support teams
Review application support documentation design, test scripts, training and online help
Perform administrative duties as required including completing timesheets, submitting expense reports and providing regular status reports
Collaborate with team members to analyze, design, build, or support a solution
Provide feedback for process improvements to help improve self-effectiveness and team efficiency

Quality of solution delivery (user acceptance, training, post-implementation issues)
Ability to form productive working relationships with supervisor, software developers, peers, external partners, and customers

Requirements :
Minimum 8 years experience in Information Technology and/or software systems
Minimum 5 years of business and/or systems analysis experience
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems or related field
Strong written, oral communication and presentation skills
Minimum 3 years experience as a lead business and/or systems analyst - leading analysis activities and peer reviews, authoring requirements and analysis
documentation:
Experience with COTS applications, database driven applications, metadata, system interfaces and data conversion
Prefer experience in the media & entertainment industry
Prefer experience with digital asset managementbroadcast and digital media program scheduling solutions
Prefer experience with managing interactions with COTS vendors
agile and/or scrum development methodology
Positive attitude, good problem-solving skills, self-starter, self-motivated, team player
Strong knowledge of business planning, terminology, best practices, tools, and technology
Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and to ensure that overall priorities are being met
Ability to develop and execute simple SQL queries to produce ad hoc reports, analyze business data, and perform system testing duties
Possesses understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design
Willingness to work weekends in support of software releases
