Job Title: Business Analyst II (Ref Code: 110112-KATFOR-IO35-E-RA)

Job Description:

Business Analysis performed for a web based portal tool to monitor, administer and analyze one's trust fund portfolio.

 

Several enhancements are planned as part of the upgrade, including some based on client feedback.


Planned enhancements include:

(a) Inclusion of Windows dashboard

(b) Users are currently unsure about selecting trustee dashboard or grant dashboard. There is a need to redesign and simplify the search

(c) Download option for information on overview tab

(d) PDF option to download complete dashboard info

(e) Basis of Commitments (BOC) value to be populated on trustee dashboard

(f) Cost objects dashboard page (similar to what previously existed)

(g) Enhance and integrate the trust fund expense repost module to the common platform and provide alerts/notifications


In addition to the above enhancements, there is also a need to fix issues related to alerts and notifications, GL groupings for disbursement and TF hierarchy in grant dashboard.


The administrative agreements with the donors requires an unaudited financial statement on a monthly basis. Currently, the reports are generated using SAP batch process.

 

The reports are downloaded and saved in the institutional drive (W: drive) to facilitate uploads to the donor's portal. This process is fully manual and involves coordination between groups.

 

Hence, there is an immediate need for developing an integrated model to generate reports. It is suggested that the current model be enhanced so that reports are automatically saved in shared documents.


Planned integration includes:

i. Design a super query for management reports : This query combines all existing individual accounting queries(would be equivalent to Universe using Orcale approach) and it will be used for all management reports like QBR, QBRR, TFAR, MFR, AC memo, etc.


ii. Develop an operational report : This report can be cloned from or enhancements could be made to the report that serves all operational reporting needs such as regional country reports and VPU portfolio reports. This universe would be shared across all the business units to serve their dynamic reporting needs and any ad-hoc and exceptional reports.


iii. Build Sector Theme cube in BW : A separate cube is necessary to store the Trust Fund disbursements information broken down by major Sectors and Themes.


Duties and Responsibilities:

- Gather and create Business Requirements and Functional Requirements from stakeholders.

- Design of mock-up screens and working prototypes (to be converted later into actual applications after business approval) as/if required.

- Assist as needed in the high level design of data model and program components/applications.

- Assist in performing unit and system testing and used case gathering.

- Manage and resolve issues among key stakeholders and the business.

- Coordinate with onsite and offsite teams for implementation of the requirements.

- Identify potential issues early on in the process.

- Perform unit and usability testing and participate in system/integration testing.

- Conceptualize and Design conversion applications, if needed.

- Prepare technical documentation as applicable.

- Provide required support during user acceptance testing.
