Position: Quality Engineer (5 positions)
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration 10-months in length.

Rate: $40/hr

This is not a C2C opportunity.. Green card, Citizens, EAD, TN visa, H1 transfers will be considered.

Responsibilities:
Develops and executes test cases and suites to establish product's conformance to the defined quality & reliability standards.
Initiates, develops and implements industry best practices designed to increase product quality and team effectiveness.
Participates in product requirement and design reviews.
Analyzes field issues and performs root cause analysis to improve coverage of existing test suites and to improve effectiveness of existing processes.

Required Skills:
MUSTS Automated test case development with Selenium and Java, 1+ years of experience developing automated testing of web browser hosted user interfaces

needs someone that can understand our product and then automate the tests or our application through the Web Based client.

Candidate will be asked to develop an automated test case for our web/browser based product. The test will require them to write/develop a test cases for a use case and verify the results. Will be required to do this with Selenium/Java during the interview.

WANTS Exposure to business applications, SAP, JDE, BO, Informatica, Cognos, PeopleSoft

Experience in defining, developing, executing, and documenting software test plans and procedures.
Ability to identify software risks and develop tests to mitigate them.
Working knowledge of databases (Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle) and networking technologies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to quickly learn and absorb new technologies and requirements.
Strong customer focus.
Ability to collaborate with project teams focused on delivering a quality product to its customers.
Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux
Experience involving extensive structured query language (SQL) usage and development of complex queries and procedures.
Basic programming knowledge



Desired Skills:
Working knowledge Windows Server administration/configuration
Working knowledge of virtual machines, such as VMWare Workstation or Server and Microsoft Virtual Server
Experience with off-the-shelf automated software test tools (Quick Test Pro, WinRunner, LoadRunner).
Commitment to ongoing process improvement.
Resourcefulness and ability to independently research potential solutions.
