DataStage / QualityStage Engineer

A minimum of 4 years experience in Data Modeling and ETL in data mining / machine learning / data analysis / decision support / business intelligence type environments
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders and with non-technical resources
Experience with Oracle database, SQL, PL-SQL
Expertise with IBM DataStage, QualityStage, Optim
Experience with Open Source and commercial reporting and visualization software such as Jasper or OBIEE
Knowledge of data mining algorithms such as decision trees, clustering, Bayesian, Association, sequence clustering, time services, Neural Network, Logistic Regression and Linear Regression
Knowledge of Web Services and XML Technologies (XML, XSL, XSD, Xforms)
Experience with Java Application Servers, Linux or Unix
Knowledge ESB middleware software
Knowledge of application and data security and encryption technologies
Ability to plan technical architecture and create documentation
Knowledge of testing tools and techniques
Knowledge of source and configuration management methodologies and build tools
Must be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources
Must take initiative, be a decisive decision-maker and show confidence in decisions made
Must be able to take strategic direction from executive management and participate in strategic planning activities throughout the lifetime of the project.
Must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance
Must be able to provide documentation on their work.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE :

A Bachelors or Masters degree in Artificial Intelligence , Computer Science, or equivalent experience is desired
Experience with IBM MDM
Experience as a Java Programmer
Experience with Open Source and commercial data mining / machine learning / data and rules engine software such as WEKA, R, SAS, SPSS, Oracle Data Miner, Drools
Experience with CA SiteMinder
Experienced with formal SDLCs and business analysis methodologies; Working knowledge of business analysis documentation standards
Experience using standard project tools including Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of BEA Weblogic, UNIX, Solaris, and Linux
Knowledge of IBM WebSphere MQ and other ESB middleware software
