Job Description:
iORMYX Inc, is seeking an Software Quality Assurance Tester for a direct hire or contract to hire opportunity with top client. Ideal candidates MUST have strong Automation experience.

 

 

 

The position requires a minimum of 5 - 8 yrs. experience in software quality assurance for the Application Development team.
The Software Test Engineer should possess knowledge and experience in software development and relational database management systems.
Minimum 5+ years of progressively responsible related technical experience, including 2-3 years in quality-related activities and maintaining a code repository system and/or build management system.

 

 

 

-Work with partial autonomy with technical team in testing various technologies in particular Microsoft based solutions including SharePoint, Dynamics CRM, SQL (SP, SSIS, SSRS), ASP.NET (VB / C#)

 

-Work with all aspects of test planning including formal reviews, analyzing requirements and creating test cases
-Creation and maintenance of manual and automated testing scripts, as well as understanding black box/white box black box
-Executing test cases and accurately reporting results and progress.
-Reporting, assigning and tracking resolution of software issues.
-Testing defects and providing sign-off or recommending remedial action
-Play a role in setting the direction to improve test automation and tools set in particular using Team Foundation Server (TFS)
-Work with source code repositories and help define and maintain configuration management processes and procedures through the product lifecycle
-Play a role in setting the direction to improve configuration management procedures and tools sets

 

 

 

Skills:
Have full life cycle testing experience.
Experience with automated testing tools and techniques using Team Foundation Server (TFS)or comparable tools
Knowledge of Visual Studio, ASP.NET (C#/VB) and SQL Server
Experience with change control and test automation tools and practices
Experience with version control tools and practices
Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle process as it relates to Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies
Documented experience testing and delivering solutions using a wide range of enterprise applications, using custom and/or packaged product approaches
Good knowledge of internet based infrastructure, technology and concepts in a large corporate web environment, with the ability to grasp quickly new technologies, applications and concepts, and apply them as required
Proven ability to organize and structure test plans, test cases and test reporting metrics to ensure requirement capabilities are being met
Proven experience in participating in multiple projects and ability to work with limited supervision showing creativity, innovation, motivation initiative and professionalism
