Contractors needed to assist in reviewing NESSUS scanning resulting of Windows 2012 environments that have .NET applications installed and traversing IIS environments. Expert in architecture and implementing Windows Server 2012 in highly secure and auditable environments. Some but not all technologies that candidate must master and have documented in resume are Active Directory, GPO's, Microsoft networking, network segmenting concepts, firewalls, DNS, Windows 8, P to V, virtual environments. Solarwinds, Shavlik, SCCM, Splunk, Tripwire, Requires proven experience in leading Windows migrations and implementations. Job involves being on call 24x7 in shifts with staff on a rotational basis.
SCOPE OF PROJECT
Summary:
This specific Statement of Work is for a contractor that demonstrates an expert knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Server/Network Solutions. We will look to this individual to document recommendations on improvements along with high level estimates on associated work effort. This individual will need to work with various application and infrastructure groups to understand data requirements for each area of the organization. Design documentation will need to be produced documenting final deployment details along with support procedures as needed. Architectural technical and documentation skills are equally important for this position.
General duties include managing internal systems, effectively researching and provide guidance leading to solutions with our strategic direction initiatives, monitoring system infrastructure and security, and assisting in supporting disaster recover/failover scenarios.
Supported applications involve Internet technologies in Microsoft .Net Framework and related web enabled components. Support contractor must demonstrate an expert knowledge of, Windows Server 2012, specializing in Active Directory. Must know how to script/code and automate administrative tasks. Must effectively research and provide guidance leading to solutions with our strategic direction initiatives, monitoring network infrastructure and security, assisting in supporting disaster recover/failover scenarios. Engineer must be a team player that ensures the stability and integrity of network, data and server services through monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all server and infrastructure systems. This individual has 24/7 on-call responsibilities shared with the group.
This intent of this work order is to provide implementation and maintenance support on the network and networked systems at the SC Department of Revenue. Advanced, Project Lead or Consultant are the Tapfin levels of these positions.
Under general supervision, the contractor will serve as support specialist reporting directly to the South Carolina Business One Stop Operation Manager. These applications involve Internet technologies in Microsoft .Net Framework and related web enabled components. Contractor will be a team member that ensures the stability and integrity of network, data and server services through monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all server and infrastructure systems. This individual has 24/7 on-call responsibilities shared with the group.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Non-Technical

Technical
- Troubleshoot and recommend technical solutions for customer issues related to software setup and configuration.
- Develop workaround solutions as appropriate.
- Monitor and assess current systems and recommend hardware and software enhancements
- Act as technical resource for other IT analysts and business units by resolving complex computer equipment and systems problems
- Diagnose and resolve problems related to hardware, software, or operator error, and resolve or repair
- Escalate complex problems to other groups, Help Desk, or vendors for resolution or for support under maintenance agreements; oversee vendor work
- Install, configure, test, monitor, and maintain system and application hardware, software, and peripherals for users; install and configure servers in collaboration with WAN group
- Perform equipment and software upgrades
- Lead and execute small projects
- Maintain familiarity with current computer and network products
- Adhere to corporate information security guidelines and promote information security among coworkers
- Qualified candidate will be responsible for performing root cause analysis/resolution.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- At least 8 years experience in Information Technology.
- MCITP Certification (Enterprise Administrator) required, or five years equivalent experience.
- Proven experience resolving problems in enterprise environments with Active Directory infrastructure issues
- Creating architectural documentation for AD infrastructure improvements based on industry best practices.
- Up to date expert level knowledge on various Microsoft Administration products lines
- HANDS ON experience analyzing, designing, DOCUMENTING, and deploying large scale AD environments
- Group Policies
- Experience using Microsoft products for centralized management of logging, policy changes, and software deployments
- Advanced in Windows Server 2012, Active Directory administration
- Technical knowledge of network and server operating systems
- Knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including TCP/IP, and DNS, DHCP.
- Experience in developing and maintaining documentation for policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills a must.
- Able to conduct research into infrastructure issues and products as required.

- Experience in monitoring infrastructure systems for Windows environments
- Experience and working knowledge of backup products and methodologies.
- Ability to craft proactive and automated scripts and tools
- Knowledge of Virtual Machine operation, strengths, and weaknesses.
- Experience with VMware ESX administration
- Support of web-based applications for internal (intranet) sites and external (Internet) sites.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycles and migrations from different environments, such as development, production, etc…
