POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior JavaScript Engineer is an expert at building modern, sophisticated interfaces using JavaScript. They have mastered HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript and jQuery, and have significant experience with MVC Javascript libraries like backbone.js, angular.js, ember.js, and JavaScript templating engines like Handlebars and Dust. Ideal Sr. JS Engineers will have experience with large enterprise software projects, from conception to delivery to testing.
This position will interact closely with project management and software engineers to shape project requirements and guide projects through completion.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 
Build, test, deploy and maintains front-end code for web pages and applications in HTML5, CSS3, javascript and jQuery
Investigate and pioneer new JavaScript technology
Build reusable code modules, plugins and frameworks using JavaScript
Participate in project planning and estimating
Works tightly with other members of the team
Lead and mentor junior members of the UI team

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education/Experience:
5+ years of professional experience in web development, with a focus on JavaScript.
Related Skills & Other Requirements:
Expert knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery
Expert knowledge of XML and JSON
Experience using JavaScript and jQuery with server side technology
Expert knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
Can hand-code without needing assistance from code completion or any computer program
Can document ideas in hand-written pseudo code
