Position: BI Systems Architect (200712-KATFOR)

Location: ARLINGTON, Virginia

Duration: 12 months

Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of experience working in the technical architecture of Business Intelligence and data warehousing technologies
Previous experience in a BI architecture role
Demonstrated proficiency in web technologies (java, .net, etc)
Demonstrated proficiency in cross-technology data integration
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of ETL and data integration technologies
Focus on continuous learning of best-in-class processes for optimizing the BI environment.
Ability to work independently with little daily supervision.

Duties:
1. Oversee optimization of existing BW data models, focused on increased performance and business-focused data availability.
2. Architect the overall BI landscape, including: BW data models, reporting solutions (Business Analyzer, Web Reporting, Business Objects), Web reporting systems, Financial Consolidation and Planning systems.
3. Performance testing of data models and web applications
4. Architect the data flows and universes for all Business Objects dashboards, Web Intelligence and other BO tools.
5. Architect the analytics reporting environment and develop guidelines to optimize performance while giving the business users maximum flexibility.
6. Architect the collaboration platform to gather internal and external structured and unstructured data.
7. Planning of all upgrades needed to support the new environment (BW, BO, BPC).
8. Lead the pre-release technical testing of all new BI solutions.
9. Support senior managers in other technical areas supporting the implementation of BI strategy.
