> Job Summary
> The primary responsibility of this position is to install, configure and
> maintain the J2EE application servers (Tomcat, Weblogic, Jboss, Oracle
> Application Server) environment running on (LINUX, UNIX, and/or Windows),
> servers for computer systems used in the organization, in support of
> business processing requirements.

> Job Responsibilities
> Provides technical support and is responsible for the implementation of
> the technical architectural design, strategies and plans that will be a
> delivered on an ongoing basis.
> Responsible for ongoing management of Middleware infrastructure.
> Performs necessary systems maintenance in accordance with software
> supplier best practices and Company change management policies.
> Executes system migration as required.
> Responsible for Runbook Design, Development, and ongoing updates.
> Responsible for on-going recommendations and best practices, as
> applicable, for Business Continuity and High Availability.
> Supports Capacity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning and design as
> applicable.
> Provides ITIL Process Planning as applicable.
> Recommend changes to procedures which result in operational optimization
> Participate in Root Cause Analysis reviews when applicable.
> Rotational 24x7 On-Call Support
> Performs software installations and upgrades to J2EE application servers
> running on different operating systems (Linux,Unix and/or Windows).
> Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels.
> Supports the J2EE application server, web servers and related
> infrastructure by resolving problems in a timely and efficient manner.

> Basic Qualifications:
> Bachelors degree & 2 years of IS experience
> OR
> Associates degree & 6 years of IS experience
> OR
> High school diploma / GED & 8 years of IS experience
> AND
> 3 years experience administrating J2EE application servers (WebLogic,
> Tomcat, Jboss, Oracle Application Server) on different operating systems
> (Linux, Solaris and/or Windows).
> Must be familiar with using tools to monitor the internal performance and
> health monitoring of the servers/clusters and J2EE server instances
> Experience of Java programming and Software Development Life Cycle

> Preferred Qualifications:

> Related Vendor Certifications
> A basic knowledge and understanding of operating systems and database
> environments.
> Solid understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP and HTTP
>
> Integration with Network Load Balancer technology
> WebLogic Clustering
