Equities Project Business Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the project plan and schedule
Manage the defined scope and present change request to the users for approvals.
Understand business requirements for equity project implementation
Collaborate with Business Analyst to ensure Testing Strategy covers all Business Requirements
Coordinate test execution activities for technical application testing and UAT (user acceptance testing)
Record, track and report test issues
Publish test metrics and issues and resolution for approval on completion of testing
Participate in status meetings and prepare status reports if necessary - highlighting issues and constraints that would impact timely delivery of work program items.
Communicate proactively with other team members and business sponsors
Work with business sponsors and project team while undertaking testing of the application
Review the project plan and provide the project management assistance
Gather the new requirements from Sungard Investran users group and document the functional specification
Review the customizations that are being maintained by Sungard Investran and agree with the users whether these customizations are required or not
Review policies, procedures and practices to determine specifications and requirements for any customizations
Organize the Sungard Investran users group meeting and document all the issues
Document discussions (meeting minutes) and circulate to the group and obtain sign off to ensure all the participants are on the same page with regards to any issues
Review with the user group on the Sungard Investran components to be upgraded and agree on the overall scope
Assist in defining and documenting the current programs which will be affected by the Sungard Investran upgrade
Analyze and document hardware and software upgrades (OS/DB/Middleware) required
Analyze and document dependencies if any
Define the Roles and responsibilities between Users group, Sungard Investran Consulting and technical group
Deliverables:
Test Cases with test plan
New requirements with functional specifications
Document hardware and software upgrades required
Statement of work and implementation plan
Required Skills:
7+ years experience in Financial Services IT out of which 3+ years as project lead is a plus, equities trading platform experience a MUST.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience managing test execution for manual and automated testing.
Experience recording, tracking and reporting resolving issues
