Selenium QA Test Analyst
Immediate 6+ month contract for a Selenium QA Test Analyst
Knoxville, TN area.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Cross-functional hybrid analyst (QA/Systems) to provide quality services to cross-functional software development SCRUM teams.
This is an important role in ensuring that the right system is developed. The QA/Systems Analyst hybrid will function as the quality champion for the team. Responsibilities include making sure that sufficient testing of the system occurs to prove that the system meets the acceptance criteria, as defined by the product owner and understood by the business, assist operations and performance engineering teams by providing scripts and test data and helping them to better understand the systems under test, provide early and continuous feedback to the team on the product that is being developed, assist in creating and maintaining system and user documentation, and assisting in task planning, estimation, and scheduling. Candidate should also be capable to assist team members in improving agile development processes by implementing test driven development best practices, researching and on-boarding of new testing practices and technologies, planning and implementing a viable automated test strategy and framework, design/implementation and standardization of a framework for nightly and continuous automated build/deploy/test across all scrum teams and projects, software configuration management, as well as assisting the teams in defining and developing the quality mindset.
The candidate must have demonstrated experience successfully working as a QA Analyst and/or Systems Analyst in an agile environment, as an equal member of the SCRUM (or equivalent) team. The candidate should be motivated, should excel when challenged, and take initiative to raise the quality bar.
The candidate should also have end to end quality experience (not just testing), such as:
Establishing acceptance criteria during user story definition
Assisting team members in establishing and implementing Test Driven Development (TDD)
Test case prioritization techniques and risk analysis
Creating and maintaining automated test suites
Incorporation of automated testing into nightly builds and/or continuous integration
Software configuration management and deployment
Production support
Process and Process improvement
Extensive experience interacting with external and internal clients
The candidate should have the following specific testing experience (in order of importance)
Automated functional/regression testing
Selenium RC/Grid
Automated unit testing
SOAP and ReST web services testing (hitting the API directly)
Oracle and SQL
Integration testing
iTKO LISA (desired)
TIBCO AMX and EMS (desired
