Description:
Need an experienced Unix developer for working on the Loan Accounting project in Client for leading the effort for the orchestration of the ETL Informatica jobs, Unix wrappers & Java engine jobs using AutoSys
Job Responsibilities:
As a Unix Systems Engineer, you will focus on day-to-day development, implementation, and support of applications built on Unix/Linux systems. This will require that you have strong working experience in Unix/Linux as well as a variety of other development tools and languages
Your specific duties as a Unix Systems Engineer will include:
Developing, enhancing, modifying, and/or maintaining Unix ksh shell scripts in the Loan accounting environment.
Designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting Unix shell scripts using AutoSys
Engaging in support activities and work with different teams to gather the required information
Follow client Version Control and Change Management process to migrate Unix code
JOB REQUIREMENTS
As a Unix Systems developer, you must be strong in the UNIX shell scripting (Ksh and Bash). Hands-on leadership experience is also highly desirable. It is also vital that you have excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and follow-up skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, peers, subordinates, and customers.
Specific qualifications for the Unix Systems Engineer position will include:
More than 5 years of applicable experience in developing wrapper scripts in Unix
In-depth knowledge of development tools and languages, including Unix Shell scripting.
Ability to write detailed design documents
Proficiency in coding on an independent basis
AutoSys scheduler experience (R11), is a plus
Experience in Informatica is a big plus.
Must have experience in any Job scheduling tool
Tortoise SVN and Remedy for version control and incident/change management, a plus.
Experience using Agile development methodologies, a plus
Functional programming experience, a plus
