The BI Developer/Analyst Lead is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of application development projects with specific emphasis on project involving DB2, Ab Initio, and Cognos. All projects are in the healthcare and insurance related business subject areas. The Technical Lead will therefore be responsible for the overall coordination, reporting, and integration of multiple technical teams within the scope of an IT application environment.
- Plans and directs highly technical projects, involving all aspects of information resources management with emphasis on software development.
- Develops and implements standard process management methodologies for the IT and Business community to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards, meet customer expectations and add value.
- Identifies and prioritizes opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise.
Scope:
Provide technical governance services to support the Informatics and various Business Departments.
Serve in a quality assurance and oversight role to ensure that proper project planning and execution occur based on established Compliance Policies.
Prepare the appropriate documentation and obtain approval for project initiation based on the established Project Management project governance processes.
Direct and maintain the project tracking reporting.
Develop, maintain, review, and evaluate project plans, task orders, requirements documents and risk registers for completeness and accuracy.
Work with the appropriate staff members and vendors to provide recommendations for improvement to project plans, task orders, requirements documents and risk registers.
Coordinate with the assigned Project Managers, Business Leads and Technical Leads on a recurring basis to obtain project information, deliverables and artifacts.
Participate in recurring project updates discussions with Business Lead(s) and Business Sponsor.
Escalate any project issues, risks, or concerns to the appropriate governance group.
Coordinate with internal IT resources to provide administrative support to include assistance with meeting scheduling, distribution of meeting agendas, and development of project plans.
Prepare and distribute meeting minutes to document decision points and action items.
Follow-up on action items with staff and vendors to ensure the appropriate action has been taken.
Oversee monthly project updates for all internal/external reporting to include: needed Senior Staff Updates, Traffic Light Reporting, and the Informatics Steering Committee
