Responsibilities:
· The candidate should have experience with TSO, JCL, and Utilities. Preferably has experience accessing multiple types of data stores on the mainframe platform (VSAM, IDMS, and DB2).
Requirements:
· Expertise in Legacy (online and batch processing) development with strong technical and communication skills and ability to manage time and activity dynamics.
· Experience in IBM Mainframe technologies like COBOL, JCL, CICS, REXX, CLIST, DB2, IDMS, IMS DB TSO/ISPF and other tools like File-Aid, Abend-aid, VSAM, SPUFI.
· Capable of developing reusable code that is process driven.
· Performed requirement gathering, analysis, and rewriting existing batch COBOL and online CICS programs to support change in the process flow of an existing system.
· Must have experience with full life-cycle systems engineering methodologies including Concept of Operations, Requirements Analysis, conducting research, and developing formal recommendations, design and implementation of enterprise architectures.
· Familiar with defect tracking tools.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical.
· Candidate must be able to effectively interact with all levels of customer staff, and be able to flourish in a government contract setting.
· Strong Communication skills - Written and Verbal.
Education:
· An undergraduate degree (BA/BS) from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Technology or a computer related field with 11 years of professional experience, or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a computer related field with 11 years experience.
