The Operations Architect is the developer and custodian of Assessment
Operations capacity to perform analyses which enable fact based strategic
and tactical decisions and to create tools which enable internal process
improvements.
This individual will work in conjunction with the operations business
process owners to effectively architect and execute the operations projects
which enable such actions.
The Operations Architect is the individual within the Assessment Operations
organization responsible for ensuring effective management of IT impacting
business change.
The Operations Architect is responsible for the coordination of demand for
service from Assessment Operations Business Process Owners (BPOs) and other
operations stakeholders. This includes support in identifying potential
projects from the various stakeholders, working with the stakeholders to
document the projects, articulate related decision points and improvements,
designing the solution which will enable a successful outcome to the
project, collaborating with stakeholders to determine milestones for each
project, and communicating project plans and statuses.
The Operations Architect supports the change management process by ensuring
that stakeholders provide sufficient descriptions and justifications to
support prioritization amongst potential projects along with effective
communication of project requirements to all stakeholders.
Required Skills:*
Highly collaborative individual with ability to influence others and build
strong professional relationships while working within a team environment
Superior analytical thinking and structured problem solving ability
Strong software development skills; experience in at least one of the
following: C#, Java, C++, Visual Basic.Net
Strong SQL skills with 4 or more years experience with Oracle and/or SQL
Server
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills required
Strong process improvement experience required
Must be comfortable working between business users, operations users and IT;
familiar with common functions and terminology on all sides
Ability to effectively communicate complex issues in writing and orally at
appropriate levels of detail for business stakeholders and technical teams
Flexibility and desire to quickly adapt to new methods, situations, and
varied requirements
Solid organizational, time, and task management skills
Ability to prioritize and effectively handle multiple situations
simultaneously
Strong computer literacy, with focus on enterprise systems and desktop
applications.
