Job Title: Java developer(32116 -HIST-IOM-RSTN)
Location: Reston, VA

Duration:  12+ months 

Responsibilities:

• Hands on with strong analytical, quantitative, and problem solving skills
• Work with product owners and business analysts to understand desired application capabilities and dev testing scenarios
• Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop and test solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies
• Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends and best practices. Ideate, Innovate and Implement new technologies and processes in a synergized manner cutting across teams
• Display smart debugging and impeccable unit testing skills
• Help with deployment in test and production environments
• Partner with technology support teams to help resolve production issues in emergency situations
• Strong work ethic to help meet client milestones and deadlines.
• Maintain strong professional presence with regard to working hours, taking ownership, delivering.
• Partner, respect and collaborate with other team members and peers.
• Strong organizational skills and an ability to work without direct supervision
• Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills

Mandatory Requirements:

• 3+ years' work experience in the area of design and development using Java and J2EE technologies
• Strong object oriented software development experience using design patterns
• Strong experience with Java Spring (MVC/IOC/AOP) and ORM such as Hibernate.
• Strong in database technologies: Oracle, MySQL, SQL, PL-SQL
• Strong XML technology experience such as XSD, XPath, XQuery, XSLT, etc.
• Solid understanding of Java Web Services, SOAP, RESTful, Web Services Development Kit
• Strong experience in JUnits and mocking
• Working experience in Agile teams in SCRUM environment
• Experience with application servers such as JBOSS and TOMCAT

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in XP practices such as CI/CD, TDD, ATDD will be highly preferred
• Knowledge of Mongo DB and PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of Camel framework
• Knowledge of any BPM tool
