Required Skills/ years of experience needed:
5+ year's design and/or implementation and/or support of distributed applications for medium or large-scale
enterprises.
2+ years' experience in migrating on premise legacy systems to the public cloud / hybrid cloud, including
successful transitions to implementation support teams.
Experience with IaaS, PaaS, SaaS concepts and articulating these concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
Experience with AGILE development, SCRUM, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
Knowledge and experience with Windows Azure
Desired Skills:
Strong skills in software design or development methodologies, plus demonstrated skills in .NET or C++.
Strong knowledge of Windows System Administration and Virtualization tools and concepts, including SCOM and Hyper-V, Active Directory, and server operating system internals
Familiarity with networking architecture concepts (VIPs, NAT, DNS) and tools (MS NetMon, CISCO NetFlow)
Familiarity with relational database and BI design concepts and administration concepts, including SQL database administration, SSIS, and SSRS. Familiarity with ADO.NET preferred
Working knowledge of IT Security concepts
Familiarity with DevOps concepts and supporting tools such as TFS, Microsoft Release Manager, JIRA, Chef, and/or Puppet
Working knowledge of AGILE development, SCRUM and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
Ability to build and maintain technical relationships across various teams and management levels.
Proven ability to drive collaborative decisions, resolve technical conflicts, and ensure appropriate
follow-through.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to present with comfort to both large and
small audiences
Knowledge of insurance operations is a plus.
