Required Skills
(Minimum Mandatory Capabilities)
Masters degree, majoring in Computer Science/Information
Systems/Finance, specialized training or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 8-10 years relevant technical and business work experience.
8-10 years of experience in defining and implementing technology solutions, preferably from a major financial institution.
Good knowledge and experience with capital markets, market conventions and market data manipulations.
Prior experience with fixed-income securities and portfolio management is required. Good understanding of relationships and attributes of complex portfolio-related reporting is a must.
Experience with a financial modeling environment and rapid-deployable analytical applications in a desktop environment are required.
Extensive experience in documenting business requirements, developing functional specifications, defining test cases, executing test scripts, and providing user training and support.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Desired Skills
(Skills not Mandatory but useful for Performance)
Knowledge of MS Visio, MS Project, TOAD, Extract Transformation Language (ETL) and reporting tools such as Crystal Reports is a strong plus.
Knowledge of iDesk, AMC spreadsheets, EPMS-VM, ODS tables,
Informatica feeds is a strong plus.
Terms of Reference
(Work to be performed) Interface with the business client to
understand and document business needs and requirements relating to the development and implementation of the systems used for:
(i)capturing AMC equity and option data into the regular
valuation process, and;
(ii)developing or enhancing existing reporting. Further, the
Senior Business Analyst is expected to help develop and maintain the client relationship with CFAPV and CBT team members.
Identify business and functional requirements by working
primarily with the CFAPV and CBT Team members and end-users, and
lead the collection, analysis, documentation and coordination of those requirements.
Craft business cases to evaluate the feasibility of business groups technology initiatives.
Collaborate with IT professionals to determine if solutions currently exist (internally or externally) or whether new solutions are feasible to meet CFAPV requirements.
Design and execute test cases for application development and implementation projects.
Provide overall support to ensure the successful design, testing and implementation of the AMC investment integration into the regular equity valuation processes.
Document and manage issues and actions for applications and projects related to AMC/EPMS integration.
Evaluate applications and IT environments, and analyze gaps between current and desired states.
Document business and IT processes and workflows as it relates to AMC/EPMS integration.
Participate in the evaluation of new products or initiatives to determine the technology support required.
