Job Description:

Reporting to the Manager of Global Data and Integration, the Senior Database Administrator performs database design, development, performance tuning and problem resolution.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency to Interact with Business System Analysts and Software Developers to transform business requirements and application requirements into appropriate data model solutions

Create and maintain database models and scripts that create, modify or delete database objects

Assist Software Developers on writing stored procedures and triggers

Work with Software Developers on database conversions and migrations

Create and maintain security for database access

Perform database and application tuning along with Software Developers

Create, maintain and implement database development standards with best practices

Coordinate and work with vendors on packaged software in regards to changes impacting databases

The accomplished individual will demonstrate progressive experiences in:

At least 5-8 years of experience in Oracle application database administration

An outstanding professional will have a

Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems (or similar field)

5-8 years of experience in Oracle database administration

Working knowledge and experience in SQL Server database administration

Experience as a member of a global support team

Strong command of English, good communication and interpersonal skills

Able to work independently and as a team member

Proven leadership skills in cross functional teams
