We are seeking a Financial Application Developer to implement, upgrade and enhance financial packages related to reconciliation, consolidated financial reporting, and automated budgeting / forecasting. This person will conduct analysis, development and testing for approved projects, and provide third level support for the current implementations of FISERV Frontier and Hyperion Financial Management / Planning Applications.
Skills needed include:
4-6 years experience developing and enhancing financial/accounting applications
Visual Basic .NET (or any equivalent .NET Language (C#, VB.NET).
SQL Server 2005/2008 (DDL and non DDL script development)
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) 2005
PERL, Windows Powershell, or Windows Batch (DOS BAT) languages.
XML file development
Oracle 10G or later (PL/SQL Development)
SQL Analysis & tuning
Experience with n-tier Web Application or software platforms.
Exposure to standard system lifecycle methodologies
Understanding of change control and software versioning
Experience in application testing and testing methodologies
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Proficient with MS Office, including Access
Ability to be flexible and work with changing priorities
Skills desired, but not required:
Experience with configuring, administering, and deploying Financial Analytical pplications (IE: PeopleSoft, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Oracle Financials, yperion EPM, OBIEE)
Experience with Oracle Essbase or other OLAP Technologies (SSAS)
Understanding the fundamentals of Object-Orientd Design, Data modeling, Use Case evelopment, and Function Point analysis.
Experience working with Distributed Job scheduling platforms (JVM, Tivioli anager)
Experience with Java Development or troubleshooting.
Experience with Recon Plus or other reconciliation software package
Experience with HFM or other consolidation software package
Experience working in a large company with a distributed environment
Experience with Microsoft project
Understanding of a 3-tier application architecture using a mix of Windows and NIX ervers.
Education
BA / BS in Business, Computer Science or Information Systems
