Title : QA Engineer (6116 - JODV- IOM - DC)

Location :  Washington DC

Duration: Long Term

Requirements :

•  Strong SQL and Relational Database understanding.
•  Able to write adhoc sql.
•  Confirm data captured in the database is as expected when users take action through the UI § Perform  exploratory testing for the data that is written to the database
•  Experience interacting with REST APIs (creating input data and reviewing output data); if only experience is in SOAP APIs, that would work.
•  Able to create test scripts and follow test scripts, but also able to do exploratory testing, leveraging a technical understanding of how the system works (in order to identify good candidates to do exploratory testing on/dig deeper into to confirm the system is working as expected)
• Experience and comfort working in an Agile development environment (2 week sprints, more than one release branch to test).
• Comfortable working with developers (QA Engineer will be embedded within the dev team)
• Ideally has worked and tested Financial related systems and/or modern web applications (with dynamic  UIs, AJAX etc) and familiar with the consideration in testing these types of applications.
