Position: Business Analyst II (062912-NANFOW)

Location: Owings Mills, MD

Duration: 8 months contract to hire

Duties and responsibilities:
Map ICD-9 codes to ICD-10 Diagnosis and Proceedure codes ensuring clinical accuracy
Research mapping defect during ICD-10 testing if clarification is required
Maintain Coding Certification Credentials
Maintain Documentation of Maps and Decisions in Leap I-10 tool
Determine Clinical intent of Codes as it relates to customers specific Benefit plans

REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be certified through AAPC as a CPC or CPC-H and/or through AHIMA as a CCS or CCS-P
Must have a minimum of 2 years of coding experience (preferably with a Blues Plan)
Working knowledge of ICD-10 coding rules, and regulations
Able to demonstrate effective communication skills (verbal, nonverbal, written)
Ability to problem-solve and make decisions consistent with organizational policies and procedures
Able to work independently, demonstrating effective initiative, follow-through, organizational skills
